Location Unknown Travel was formed by two people with experience in the hospitality/travel industry who seek to maximize a travelers budget and experience. Hotels, Resorts, Rental Agencies and other companies in the hospitality/travel industry include commission in their cost of operation so a travel agent should not cost you anything. The Destination Donations Program seeks to create access for non-profits to money that otherwise would simply be absorbed into the profits of hotels, resorts, rental agencies and other companies in the hospitality/travel industry.
Details of the Destination Donations Program
The program is provided to both travelers and organizations supported by those travelers at no extra cost.
As staff, board members, membership and supporters travel they simply need to designate the organization upon booking travel.
50% of commission received by Location Unknown Travel, LLC from bookings that mention an organization are given to that organization
(Roughly 4% to 5% of pre-tax booking amount)
Commissions are paid up to 90 days after travel has been completed.
Donations will be issued from Location Unknown Travel, LLC directly to the designated organization.
Important Note About Flights:
United States Airlines typically do not provide commission to travel agents. If a flight is booked with an airline that provides commission the organization will receive 50% of that received commission. If the flight is not booked with an airline that provides commission Location Unknown Travel will provide a $5 donation to the organization per ticket booked.
